This is what the former lawn looks like now, nearly ten years later. I contacted the property owner after my spill and suggested marking the drain better so people wouldn't fall into it by accident. About a year later they installed the rail that appears in this photo. I don't know when the lawn got changed to rocks and landscaping. That was probably done sometime within the last three years or so.
